Hit Like, Get Hired (A Job Interview Selfie)

Choose a job that you love, and you will never have to work for a day in your life- Confucius

College is the perfect time to lay down your plans on where you want to see yourself after you received your diploma. I believe that it is the period wherein we write our goals with the most trust that we will accomplish them.

I plan to start looking for potential companies at the start of my senior year. My plan is to look for a company where I can learn the real thing. Compensation is not an issue for a fresh graduate like me. My ultimate goal is to earn experience.

During my senior year, I will polish my resume, and master writing letter of intents for specific companies. I will do a lot of research about a company's background and character so I will have a better chance of writing something personal for each prospect.

Also by early research of companies, I will learn about their projects, the kinds of work they do, and hopefully they are open for interns. For me, learning about the company increases my chance of scoring an interview that hopefully will lead to employment.

I will also make sure that I have something to write in my resume, so as early as now I need to be active with school activities. A month before graduation, I plan to send out my applications to the companies. By doing so, I believe they will see the my sincere eagerness to join their team. This will also show that I am dedicated to contribute something in their company's growth.

I am eyeing the following companies:

1. Google

I would like to be a "Googler". I want to develop mobile applications or games for Google Play. Also, one of the main reasons why I want to be part of their family is that I think there is a balance between work and play. Their office is so cool and becomes instant stress reliever.

2. Samsung

When we were kids, whenever we get fascinated by a product we promise that someday we will work in their company. Since I began using a phone, I've stick to one brand- Samsung. I know how the phones work, the games, the apps. Sometimes as a user I develop ideas that can further utilize the smartphone and I would like to share it to the team by becoming their member.

3. Supercell

Supercell is a mobile game development company founded in 2010. I play one of their games, Clash of Clans, and got really hooked on it. Since high school, my friends and I are developing our games and characters. So it would be so good if I get to create a game of my own with this company.
